Creating easy holiday traditions

The holiday season is in full force, but it’s not too late to add some easy holiday traditions to your life. As the mother of two young children, I love creating and continuing holiday traditions that add magic to the season for our boys.

Creating easy holiday traditions

Our Friday night movie night turns into Friday night Christmas movie night at this time of year. We enjoy seasonal treats like hot cocoa and Christmas cookies while we snuggle up on the couch with our 4-year-old.

We watch my childhood favorites like Charlie Brown Christmas and we watch some of the newer Christmas movies too. The music, the movies, the flavors, the scents… they all add to the magic of the season for me and I hope they help my children to have magical memories of the holiday season in our home.

Three steps to a perfect Christmas movie night

1. Bake a fun holiday treat with your kids.

2. Light it up. Turn on your Christmas lights. Start the fireplace and light a candle.

3. Find the perfect Christmas movie for your family.

Enjoy!

Creating easy holiday traditions

Technology has made enjoying the season at our own pace so much easier. We don’t have to keep our kids up late to catch the movie we want to see thanks to technology. And I love some of the options from Xfinity that that made our home entertainment so easy.

Xfinity X1 is sleek and easy to use. It provides one-‐click access to a variety of entertainment options. You can access your favorite shows, movies and content through any device. You can also set up a series recording through your smartphone, sync your personal calendar with your DVR’d programs, and get recommendations for programming you’ll want to watch On Demand — and the list goes on.

I love that X1 makes catching your favorite holiday movies easy as can be no matter where you are.

Join Xfinity at a fun event at your local store:

What are your favorite holiday traditions? Are movies a part of your family’s annual events?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of XFINITY. The opinions and text are all mine.
