This year I’m extra excited about Easter. I have been shopping for weeks and am all ready. I think there’s something really fun about having both boys and getting them each a basket. We already have so many wonderful holiday and birthday traditions with just Bodhi and it’s fun to teach Ezra how things roll in our family.
When I had the opportunity to work on an Easter basket for Bodhi using items from Disney’s magical line of products, I knew that Bodhi would be thrilled by Marvel with his newfound interest in super heroes.
Creating traditions for our family is something that is really important to me. We have a pretty solid Easter tradition. We wake up, help Bodhi find his Easter basket and we give him a couple of small gifts from my husband and I. We then enjoy a fun breakfast as a family. Next, it’s off to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. We are so lucky to live in a neighborhood with fun traditions like this.
Our Marvel themed Easter basket is filled with all kinds of fun. I’m not a big fan of too much candy for my guys, so I LOVE that Walmart has a ton of Marvel options that are not candy. From coloring activities to building a foam superhero to actual action figures, you can find so many great options. We went with a fun color-your-own T-shirt, a few activity books, Spiderman plastic eggs filled with DIY alphabet magnets and more.
Bodhi is so into letters and numbers right now. I wanted to DIY some simple alphabet magnets for him. When I found a cute galvanized steal storage basket, I knew we’d go with that instead of a typical Easter basket. I love that you can use it in the playroom, his bedroom or somewhere else and I love that I could use his magnets right on the side to spell out his name.
The magnets are easy! I bought a pack of very inexpensive alphabet stamps. I simply peeled off the stamp side and replaced with an adhesive magnet. I’m all about being approachable when it comes to DIY projects.
Having children has definitely changed my traditions. I have felt a strong need to create special memories each year, but I’ve also tried hard to make our traditions really manageable. Bodhi will be thrilled when he sees his Marvel Easter Basket on Easter morning.
If you have a Disney lover in your home, be sure to swing by Walmart for a HUGE selection of items from your children’s favorite Disney lines.
